You decided to take a ride on the rollercoaster with this someone who you think you can rely on. You are horribly petrified. Will you enjoy it? Will you be addicted to it and continue to stay in your seat even the ride is over? The uncertainty is killing you. But your heart says, go for it!
The ride has begun. You hold his hand so tightly.
Damn! It’s so scary. Now you have no choice but to trust that person to provide you with some sense of security. Initially he did but after a while, he thinks that you cling on too much that he cannot enjoy his ride. He finds it distracting. He finds you annoying. He neglects you.
You finally can open your eyes and you are caught in mid-air. Yes, he is enjoying the ride. His physical self is near.
His mind is far far away. You want so badly to enjoy the ride but you just cannot. You struggle with your own fears and problems. He looked away every time you need support. It’s your own problem. You dread the person you see in his eyes. You feel the redundancy of your presence.
Your friends cannot be on this ride with you but they can see you from a distance. They were always at the waiting area. Always there! They want to be there for you when you are done with the ride. They genuinely feel happy when you laugh. They look so worried when you scream or cry
The ride is over. You exit the ride with tears rolling in your eyes.
Your friends come over to hug you. "Everything will be alright".
The person thinks that he didn’t enjoy the ride with you.
He now chooses someone else to go on the ride.
